The Elite Amateur Cup is points race by competing in the seven historic Elite Amateur Golf Series (EAGS) championships: Sunnehanna Amateur, Northeast Amateur, North & South Amateur, Trans-Miss Amateur, Southern Amateur, Pacific Coast Amateur and the Western Amateur.
Elite Amateur Cup point system is the cumulative total of World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR) points earned from competing in the seven EAGS events.The Elite Amateur Cup winner is the player with the most points at the end of the series that culminates with the Western Amateur. Top finishers in the series earn exemptions into USGA Championships, PGA Tour, and Korn Ferry Tour events. A player must compete in a minimum of three events to be eligible for the below exemptions.Point standings will be updated weekly during the series.
Top Five (5) finishers in the final 2022 Elite Amateur Cup point standings will receive an exemption into the 2022 U.S. Amateur Championship.
Top Five (5) finishers in the final 2022 Elite Amateur Cup point standings will receive a local exemption (i.e., exempt into Final Qualifying) for the 2023 U.S. Open Championship (*must remain an amateur).
EAGS will distribute the following PGA Tour exemptions based upon the final 2022 Elite Amateur Cup standings in a manner TBA. Additional tour exemptions will be allocated as they are confirmed.
