JADEN DUMDUMAYA MAKES HISTORY AS REPEAT CHAMPION AT PACIFIC COAST AMATEUR

HOOVER, AL (July 27, 2026) - Jaden Dumdumaya claimed his his place in Pacific Coast Amateur history Friday, capturing his second consecutive championship with a 2-shot victory at the 59th Pacific Coast Amateur at Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore.   The USC sophomore fired rounds of 63, 71, 65 and 69 to finish at 12-under-par for the tournament. His victory made him the first golfer to successfully repeat since Billy Mayfair accomplished the feat in 1987-88.   ​ Dumdumaya's repeat title also highlights his rapid rise in amateur golf. When he won the Pacific Coast Amateur in 2025, he was ranked No. 1,000 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. One year later, the rising junior at USC entered the championship ranked No. 75 in the world.

"Poppy Ridge is a special place to me," Dumdumaya said. "I grew up playing golf out here. If I had to choose my place to win back-to-back, it'd be here."
